Laurel Hill Publishing has announced the release of a new series of books by Tom Perry on Patrick County history. The book shown here, “In Memory and Imagination…Patrick County, Virginia’s Covered Bridges” is ready for the Covered Bridge Festival Saturday, with all proceeds going to the Covered Bridge Committee. The book tells the story of Walter Weaver, who designed four bridges that once spanned the Smith River. Perry worked with retired educator Betty Perry, the granddaughter of Walter Weaver, to tell the story of the bridges.
