The Friends of the Blue Ridge Library will be hosting a book sale Tuesday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the basement of the Martinsville Branch Library, 310 E. Church Street.
The summer heat has arrived and so have summer reading books. The sale will feature plenty of “like new” hardback fiction, hardback and paperback young adult fiction, and lots of “like new to us” history books.
You can find books about gardening, home improvement, travel, biographies, self-help and medical information, nature and natural science, reference and books geared to children.
There will also be VHS tapes (children’s, older classics and movies), Bassett High School yearbooks from 2008 and 2009, and a 10-cent clearance area. Green-marked books will sell for 25 cents each or five for a dollar.
All proceeds go back into the library system.
The next sale is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
