Mr. Jimmy Dean Lawson, age 55 of Lawsonville, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He was born in Danbury, North Carolina on July 17, 1965.  He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Madison Lawson; a brother, Christopher Lawson; and a sister, Debra Collins.  Jimmy was loved by everyone who knew him for his outgoing personality.  He made friends with everyone he met.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kimberley Bowman Lawson of the home; three daughters, Kayla Lawson, Kara Lawson and Krista Lawson (Jason), all of Lawsonville; a grandson, Kingston Payne; his mother and step-father, Mary Hazel Tilley Medley and Garfield Medley of Lawsonville; three sisters, Cindy Lawson (Dale) of Danbury, Sheila Smith (Ronnie) of King, North Carolina, Ethel Pyrtle of Lawsonville; two brothers, Thomas Lawson (Tina) of Lawsonville, Randall Lawson (Tabbatha) of Lawsonville, his father-in-law, Charles Bowman of Dry Pond; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Mayo Mountain Church with Pastor Bobby Wilmoth officiating.  Burial will follow in the Frye Cemetery in Lawsonville.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at the church.  Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements, and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
