Linda Hall Cox, age 68, of Claudville, died Friday, January 29, 2016, at her home.
She was born in Patrick County on February 25, 1947. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Nathaniel Hall; and her “Daddy,” N.T. Hall.
Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, William “Bud” C. Cox Jr. of the home; her mother and stepfather, Helen Bateman Nelson and Spencer Nelson, of Pilot Mountain, N.C.; four children and their spouses, Teressa Bowman and husband Charlie and Rhonda Vaughn and husband Michael, all of Claudville, Missy Cox, of the home, and William “Neil” C. Cox III and wife Marcia of Claudville; five grandchildren, Charles William Bowman, Victoria Lynn Bowman, Nathaniel Spencer Cox, Troy William Cox and Tristan Neil Cox; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce Bowles and Bill of Winston Salem, N.C., and Hope Trumpie and Chuck of Pilot Mountain, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Jim Nelson and Phyllis of Phafftown, N.C.; special aunts, Juanita Clement and Ruby Beasley, both of Claudville; and a special caregiver, Teresa Stegall of Claudville.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Brother James Percival and Aaron Blackard officiating. Burial was in Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
