William James Epperly, 90, of Patrick Springs, VA, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Sovah Hospital in Martinsville. He was born on March 13, 1931 in Patrick County to the late Emma Mabe Epperly and Luther Epperly. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Lessie Young, Grace Dalton, three brothers, Robert Plaster, Allen Plaster and Kelly Epperly.
He retired from East Hampton Rubber Thread in Stuart after many years of service.He made fine furniture as a hobby and was a member of Church Of God of Prophecy, always had a smile when he met you and will be missed by his family and especially his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Epperly of the home, one daughter, Freda Shockley (Jimmy) of Stuart, VA, one grandchild, Krista Hancock (Josh), three great-grandchildren, Mason, Evan, Carlynn Hancock and a special niece, Trish Hylton.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Patrick Memorial Gardens in Stuart with Reverend Tom Warren officiating.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
