Blake Richard Miles was Woolwine Elementary School’s 2026 recipient of the DAR Youth Citizenship Award. Mrs. Jeannie Hubbard, principal of Woolwine Elementary, presented this award to Blake during the seventh-grade promotion ceremony on May 20th. In order to receive this award a student must display qualities of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism in his home, school and community.
Blake was also presented the President’s Education Award, Principal’s Award, High Achievement Award, Warrior Award and Top Speller Award. He is a member of the Jr. Beta Club. Blake enjoys playing football, baseball and riding his bike. His future plans include becoming a professional welder. Blake is the son of Billy and Melissa Miles.
