This is a letter from Jim Churchwell, written from Bedford, Texas, to you, my family and friends in Patrick County and beyond.
This word, from Psalm 119:105, has been a favorite of mine for many years. The word of God is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Beloved, this word has been and continues to be a comfort to my heart and an encouragement to my soul. It has enabled me to do what I didn’t know I could do. When you hide God’s word in your heart and rely on Him, He will help you do the difficult and the impossible. Because it isn’t you, but Him. He will help you if you will believe and act upon His word.
This word from Jesus has shed new light into my heart and soul. Listen to this familiar word, as if He was speaking this word to you: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
This is the gospel message. It is good news to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. This one verse, John 3:16, can change a person’s heart and their life. This word connects every thing and every one together. God, the world, Jesus, the Cross, faith and heaven.
Beloved, when you have the opportunity share this verse and let the Holy Spirit speak the word into a person’s heart and soul. Pray this word over those God puts in your path. Speak the word and let God be God.
For some time these words have been on my heart and mind. Listen and let the Spirit speak to you. “His presence, peace and power encourages our hearts to praise Him as we wait for His purpose to unfold.”
You can find chapter and verse for each of the words. I could give you what I have found, but it will mean more if you allow the Spirit to reveal them to you. His presence, peace, power, praise and purpose can be a challenge and a blessing. I would love to hear what you receive as you seek His face as you seek Him.
Okay, that’s it. You can reach me at this address: 1109 Amherst Drive, Apartment 1047, Bedford, Texas. 76021. Or email: jamesw1705@gmail.com.
Beloved, the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord cause His face to shine upon you and be far gracious unto you and give you His peace. Pray for our daughter who is battling cancer and her family. Amen.
