obit dalton, angieAngela “Angie” Smith Dalton, age 52, of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born in Patrick County on October 27, 1963, and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Steven Dalton.
She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, had owned and operated the Preschool Enrichment Program in Patrick County for 13 years, and was involved with the Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group, LLC.
She was a free spirit who loved Harley Davidsons and riding her motorcycle. She loved her daughters and was a loving person who never met a stranger.
Surviving are two daughters, Michaela Reneé Dalton and Miranda Haley Dalton, both of Stuart; her parents, James and Sally Clark Smith of Stuart; one brother and sister-in-law, Derick and Peggy Smith of Stuart; one nephew, Patrick Smith of Galax; one great-niece, Evelyn Smith; and a true friend, Larry “Grub” Cassady of Stuart.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors Mark Wright and Butch Dillinger officiating. Burial was in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
