The Baptist General Association of Virginia and the Appalachian Awareness Working Committee will sponsor a Southwest Virginia Evangelism Conference, September 29 and 30 at the First Baptist Church in Galax.

Featured evangelist will be Dr. Ken Weathersby, vice president of the Southern Baptist Executive Committee.

Recording artist Gordon Mote will provide music for the Friday night and Saturday morning conference. The service of worship and praise will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday night, September 29.

Saturday will feature multiple break-out conferences on evangelism, church growth, church budgeting, and productive forms of worship for the local church. All of Southwest Virginia and their respected churches are invited to attend.
