The Blue Ridge Music Center is looking for friendly music enthusiasts to join our team of volunteers who help with Music Center events. Volunteers are needed for the Saturday evening summer outdoor concert series held at the Music Center as well as Sunday afternoon Milepost Music concerts at Mabry Mill, Doughton Park, and Peaks of Otter.
Volunteers for the Saturday evening Deep Roots, Many Voices concert series at the Blue Ridge Music Center sell tickets and track attendance, hand out wristbands, sell and track merchandise sales, and assist with parking. The concerts are held on Saturday evenings, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and feature the best of regional and national bluegrass, old-time, and other American roots-based and Americana music on a beautiful outdoor amphitheater stage. The Music Center is located at milepost 213, on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Galax, Virginia.
A pre-season volunteer orientation meeting will be held on Saturday, May 2. Please contact the Blue Ridge Music Center at 866-308-2773, ext. 212, or email info@brpfoundation.org to sign up and receive meeting details.
Milepost Music concerts are held on Sunday afternoons, alternating between Mabry Mill (milepost 176 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Meadows of Dan, Virginia), Doughton Park/The Bluffs (milepost 241, near Laurel Springs and Sparta, North Carolina), and Peaks of Otter (milepost 86 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Bedford, Virginia). Volunteers help unload, set up, take down, and load tents and equipment on site before and after the shows. If you are interested in volunteering for Milepost Music concerts, contact Blue Ridge Music Center at 866-308-2773, ext. 212, or email info@brpfoundation.org for details.
