Just maybe Spring has finally sprung! We surely hope so at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection.
We are looking forward to planting pansies in our flower boxes, and getting ready for our Easter Egg Hunt which will be held on Saturday morning March 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. We will be having the hunt between Blue Ridge and the Landmark Center. We are inviting the area children to come and hunt for more than 3,000 eggs!
Our residents are looking forward to having many of their crafts on display during the egg hunt in our recreation room. We will be coloring eggs, making small crafts and decorating Easter bonnets. We will be having them judged and prizes will be given to the winners.
The residents enjoyed going to Mount Airy, N.C., for lunch. We finally got to go and have lunch there; we have had to cancel this trip twice due to snow. The residents really enjoyed their meal and they want to go back again. The staff was extra nice and very hospitable to our residents. We would like to thank them for all their help and for making our dining experience great.
We also took them riding around on the Blue Ridge Parkway. For some of our new residents; this was their first time on the Parkway. They talked about how beautiful the scenery was and it seemed that you could see for miles.
We also got to have lunch at in Stuart on Thursday at one of our residents’ favorite places to have a meal. They love the different varieties of food to choose from and the staff always makes them feel welcome.
We are working on National Volunteer Week which is April 10-16. We look forward to honoring those who give so much of themselves to others and their outstanding dedication. Blue Ridge Therapy Connection and The Landmark Center will be honoring our groups during this week. We like to honor the individual volunteers during our National Nursing Home Week which is May 8-14.
If you would like to become a volunteer, please come by or call (276) 694-7161, extension 1804 and ask for Dee Dee Via. We would love to have you join our family here at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection.
