obit-foster-bobbyBobby Joe Foster, age 37 of Rocky Mount, died Monday, November 21, 2016, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Martinsville on July 27, 1979. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Ira J.P. Foster and Shirley Turner Moore; a sister, Sandra Smart Spangler; and a half-sister, Tammy Foster.
He was a 1997 graduate of Lynwood Christian Academy, and was a sales manager at MidPoint Chevrolet.
He was a loving father, brother, friend and son who enjoyed making everyone laugh. He brought happiness to everyone around him, especially his friends and family. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, watching football, and spending time with his daughter.
Surviving are one daughter, Amber Morgan Foster of Patrick Springs; his fiancé, Daphne Tilley of Rocky Mount; the mother of his child, Susan A. Foster of Patrick Springs; two sisters, Pamela Smart of Ararat and Kim Smart of Martinsville; one brother, Michael Smart of Kernersville, N.C.; a half-brother, Ricky Foster of Bassett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Van Moore officiating. Burial was in the Foster Family Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bobby J. Foster Memorial Fund, c/o Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 307, Stuart, Va. 24171.
