BSA Troop 69 honored at ceremony

Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troop 69 in Patrick Springs held their 2022 Court of Honor ceremony along the Mayo River. The Murphy family hosted the event with family and friends in attendance. The troop has worked diligently on earning their ranks and merit badges that they were able to hold their 2022 Court of Honor Advancement Ceremony on September 24. 

The ceremony recognized each Scout’s leadership, advancement and other significant accomplishments. Each scout who had earned a badge of rank and/or merit badges since the last court of honor was called forward and recognized. A cookout, campfire and campout followed the ceremony.  Congratulations to all the scouts for their hard work, perseverance and dedication. A total of 67 merit badges and 27 ranks were presented to scout members.  Some of the merit badges were recreational, others were career-oriented, and others were life skills.

The following scouts received awards: Branden Boden, Scout Rank, one merit badge; Brayden Conner Second Class & First Class Ranks, eight merit badges; Caleb Murphy two additional merit badges; Dyson Spence First Class Rank, three merit badges; Cameron Cassell Scout, Tenderfoot & Second Class Ranks, five merit badges; Payton Stovall Life Rank, two merit badges; Hunter Heath First Class & Star Ranks, eight merit badges; Hunter Smith one merit badge; Zach Heath two additional merit badges; Jaheim Johnson Eagle Scout Rank, one additional merit badge; Josiah Spangler First Class & Star Ranks, seven merit badges; Jude Spangler Scout Rank, six merit badges; Kieran Rodriguez First Class Rank, two merit badges; Kyle Handy Star Rank, two merit badges; Mason Fain Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class Ranks, seven merit badges; Glen Stovall Second Class & First Class Ranks, four merit badges; Owen Nutter Star Rank, four merit badges; Toby Hooker two additional merit badges; Keandre Robinson Scout Rank; Aiden Slate Scout Rank; Evan Kruse Scout Rank; Owen Kruse Scout Rank; Joshua Putnam Scout Rank; Noah Putnam Scout Rank.  Also pictured Troop Leaders George Stovall, Eddie Spence, Ricky Murphy, Chris Hooker, Randy Heath and Jason Kruse.
