The Patrick County Registrar’s Office has announced filing deadlines for candidates seeking offices that will appear on the Nov. 3 General and Special Elections ballot.
The following offices and filing deadlines apply:
U.S. Senate: June 16 at 7 p.m.
Town of Stuart Town Council (three seats): June 16 at 7 p.m.
U.S. House of Representatives: Aug. 4 at 7 p.m.
Smith River District Board of Supervisors (special election): Aug. 14 at 5 p.m.
Candidate packets are available at the Patrick County Registrar’s Office or can be downloaded from the Virginia Department of Elections website at www.elections.virginia.gov.
The registrar’s office is located in Room 216C of the Patrick County Administration Building, 106 Rucker St., Stuart. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
