More than 20 named in recent indictments

Grand jurors seated in Patrick County handed down more than 60 indictments on June 1, according to records in the Patrick County Court Clerk’s Office.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.

Those named in the indictments are:

*Dustin Joseph Mills, 41, of Stuart, larceny of a firearm, Oct. 14.

*Kevin Wayne Woods, 52, of Stuart, possession of Sch. I or II. drugs, Dec. 26.

*Brenda Leigh Williams Floyd, 58, of Claudville, break and enter, Feb. 10.

*Chance Anthony Self, 29, of Axton, one count each maliciously throw missile into occupied motor vehicle, drive while intoxicated, and elude, Sept. 5.

*Travis Lee Shumate, 40, of Claudville, three counts attempt to bribe a witness and one count each abduction and malicious wounding, Dec. 27 through Jan. 11.

*Brandee Feazelle, 26, of Collinsville, one count each grand larceny and grand larceny of a motor vehicle, Sept. 17.

*Chad McCray Williams, 52, of Lawsonville, N.C., non-violent felon in possession of a firearm, Feb. 7.

*Jason Garrett Chilton, 40, of Ararat, attempted malicious wounding, Sept. 29.

*James Wayne Greer, 44, of Stuart, one count each elude and grand larceny, Jan. 6.

*Brett Lane Williams, 57, of Stuart, domestic assault and batter, Aug. 7.

*Zachary Thomas Golding, 23, of Mt. Airy, N.C., destruction of property, Jan. 12.

*Justin Lee Morris, 45, of Ararat, one count each abduction and possession of Sch. I or II drug, Dec. 22.

*Roy Melvin Davis, Jr., 69, of Patrick Springs, two counts animal cruelty, Jan. 13.

*Ashley Lynn Bogle, 42, of Stuart, possession of Sch. I or II drugs, Feb. 17.

*Joyce Lee Charles, 43, of Martinsville, two counts mail theft and one count credit card theft, Feb. 23 through Feb. 25.

*Jason Garrett Chilton,40, of Ararat, assault of law enforcement officer, Sept. 29.

*Joel Ray Hamm, 56, of Meadows of Dan, distribution of Sch. I or II drugs, April 30.

*Joy Grace Howard, 38, of unknown, nine counts obtain money by false pretense and eight counts each forgery, uttering, Nov. 1 through Jan. 31.

*Cynthia Marie Hughes, 43 of Stuart, possession of Sch. I or II drugs, Dec. 24.

*Kody Devin Katzer, 30, of Stuart, possession of Sch. I or II drugs, Oct. 8.

*Dallas Wesley Thompson, 36, of Ararat, possession of Sch. I or II drugs, Oct. 28.
