How we see and understand the world around us can shape our lives in many ways. The way we perceive what is happening before us is often a learned behavior and will determine our actions or how we treat others. So, with that in mind I want to share how we can change from negative patterns and learn to see life from God’s point of view.
Seeing from God’s point of view is all about seeing life from a larger frame of reference. The thing is, having the right perspective is hard at times because we see things from such a small vantage point. It’s hard to step outside of our ordinary ways of thinking to see God’s bigger picture. Even when we are looking for that bigger picture, many times God, in His infinite wisdom, chooses not to reveal it to us. This can result in frustration and wrong attitudes as we deal with our own lack of understanding.
We will often have the wrong perspective because we are looking at things through our own eyes instead of having the faith to look up and see the One who is holding the framework of a bigger picture. When you’re going through hardships, feeling down, discouraged, or struggling with critical thoughts, remember, you can change and you’re not alone. Don’t let thoughts and feeling control you. Instead, we should turn things around, and begin focusing our attention on a more positive and encouraging outlook. God’s word is a great place to start, so here are my Bible verses to improve your perspective on life.
The biggest life changing verse in my life is Romans 8:28 which says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Life changing, because it taught me that life is not easy or free from hardship. However, I can have confidence that God is working in the situation. If we can learn to focus on moving forward in life and trust that God is working out the details, we can experience a joyful life. God is working out the details in your life, so trust Him and live the abundant life you are meant to experience.
Ever felt like God was nowhere to be found when you needed Him? I want to share something with you that helps many to change their understanding about what is happening in those moments. Sometimes our pain or situations can be so harsh they overshadow or blind us to the point that we can’t see help or the way out at all. We can’t seem to experience God like we used to. Here is an example of what is happening to you. It is like being in a dark cave without a light. You cannot see the sun light above but yet it is still there. Please know that God is right there with you, however the darkness has overtaken you for a moment, but in time you will see light again. A good scripture to read and cherish in dark times is Psalm 18:28, which says “For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.”
Finally, God is continually teaching His children to see with new eyes. Seeing with new eyes simply means that God is teaching us to look at life from a higher spiritual perspective. The Bible teaches this truth in Psalm 119:105, which says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” In other words, when we let the word of God shine its higher wisdom onto our life the path that takes us forward in life will be shown.
Changing your outlook on this world can change your life and bring purpose to your future. If we would allow God to teach us the way He wants us to see this life and experience him we would change the way we see the world around us. Instead of seeing all the darkness we would see the many beautiful aspects of life. Change can happen to anyone it just takes a change of perspective.
