Mr. Christopher Thomas Stovall, age 57 of Bassett, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home. He was born in Patrick County on August 28, 1967, to the late Lloyd Thomas Stovall and Barbara Craddock Boothe. In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Edith Craddock and Ruth Stovall.

Chris is survived by his siblings, Denise Stone (Tim), Cindy Keller (Tommy), Brandon Boothe (Wendy), as well as special aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Chris, with his meticulous attention to detail, spent most of his life as a carpenter. He took great pride in helping build homes for families, always striving for perfection in every detail. In his earlier years, he was employed at Bassett Mirror Company. He is cherished for his sense of humor, love for his family, and strong will and courage.

A celebration of life for Chris will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Freddy Bonds officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you enjoy a meal with your family and friends or donate to a charity of your choice. A special thank you to the Carilion family, especially Krista, Jenna, Mary, Lynn and Libby. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements, and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
