It is with great sadness to announce the death of Mrs. Sarah Edna East, of Morehead City, NC. She passed away peacefully from natural causes in her home on Tues. Nov. 26th.

“Edna” was born on Jan. 15th, 1933 to William Russell (Buck) Boles and Ann (Pace) Boles in Stuart, VA. She was the eldest of 8 siblings.

Edna was a devoted wife, a caring mother, a beloved sister, and a fun-loving “Granny”. She had a genuinely beautiful soul, and would do anything for anybody. She was loved, admired, and respected. Her sense of humor was second to none. She touched the souls of those that knew her in such a way that will never be forgotten.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert and Johnny Boles; husband, James Daniel (Dan) East; and son-in-law, Herbert (Herb) Orama Jr.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Donna Gayle East Orama; her grandson, David Orama; her granddaughter, Allison Orama; her great granddaughters, Sophia Orama and Phebe Johnston; her sister, Sue and husband Herman Geesaman; her sister, Linda and husband Jackie Spence; her sister, Shirley Sutphin; her sister, Beverly and husband Howard Tate; her brother, William (Billy) and wife Phyllis Boles.

Edna was laid to rest on Sunday, Dec. 8th 2024, beside her husband Daniel, at Creasey’s Chapel in Dry Pond, VA. We love you Granny. You will be missed dearly.
