Church to hold Special Olympics training, sports camps June 20-24

Middle Cross Missionary Baptist Church will hold two free sports camps for boys and girls June 20-24 at 59 Wayside Rd., Stuart.
Special Olympics Training Camp for ages 5-22 will be held each day from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Activities will include various training including noodle javelin, water balloon shot put, home run derby, softball throw, broad jump and more.
The instruction will prepare campers to compete in Friday evening games, where ribbons will be awarded.
Campers will also participate in music and devotional each night.
The second sports camp is for boys and girls from ages 5-13 and will meet daily from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m.
Sports offered will include baseball, softball and dance and movement, and instruction will be offered by coaches and student athletes. Camp t-shirts will be available for the first 20 students to enroll.
Athletes participating in both camps will receive a New Testament Bible and snacks and water will be provided.
Camp flyers invite all participants to enjoy fun, games, friendship, skill training and guest speakers at camps centered around Christian values.
Pre-registration is mandatory and is required by June 4. For information call Karen Hutchens at (276) 694-5836 or email dogrunner@embarqmail.com. Registration forms are available at the DeHart Park pool and the offices of Dr. Greg Hutchens, Brian Jessup, CPA, and The Animal Clinic.
