Alissa Jo Combs-Draughn recently earned her doctorate in educational psychology from Walden University
She is a graduate of Patrick County High School, received her B.A. from Ellis College of NYIT, and received her master’s in education from Virginia Tech. She is also pursuing a post-master’s certificate in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
She is a member of Psi Chi, the Psychological National Honor Society and Golden Key International. Her dissertation is entitled “The Impact of Psychological Birth Order on Scholastic Achievement and Motivation” and is available for download from Google Scholar and Proquest.
She is married to the Rev. Shaun Draughn and has four children, Alessandra, Raeli Jo, David and Jobie Grace. She is the daughter of Gary and Phyllis Combs. She and her family live in Patrick Springs. She currently is employed by the Stokes Early College High School in Stokes County, N.C.
