Friday, Oct. 22

The Woolwine Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Fairystone Fire Department from 3 to 5 p.m.

 

The Dobyns Community Club will hold a spaghetti supper from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dobyns Community Club. For more information, contact Mildred Clement at 276-694-3491.

 

Saturday, Oct. 23

The Ararat Ruritan Club will hold a BBQ/Cruise-in. Each plate costs $10 and includes BBQ, potatoes, slaw, roll, homemade dessert, and drink. Eat in or take out. The cruise-in will feature a People’s Choice Award. All cruisers are welcome to attend. 

 

The Middle Cross Missionary Baptist Church will hold a cornhole tournament starting at 11 a.m. The event is $20 per team to enter with all proceeds benefiting the church’s youth program. BBQ plates will also be available for $10.

 

Sunday, Oct. 24

The Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church will hold a Trunk-or-Treat event from 5 to 7 p.m. for free. All kids are welcome.

 

Saturday, Oct. 30

Life Tabernacle Church will hold a free Outdoor Fellowship with food and refreshments starting at 4 p.m., followed by gospel and country music with Johnny Joyce and The Country Boys performing at 6 p.m. All are invited. 

 

Sunday, Nov. 7

The Hardin Moore and Elizabeth Smith Ayers Smith family reunion will be held at the Ararat Ruritan Building starting at 12 p.m. Plates, utensils, and drinks will be provided. Bring a covered dish and come out to enjoy a fall afternoon with family, food, and funny stories. Call Sheila Smith at (276) 251-5767 for more information. 

 

Wednesday, Nov. 10

The Patrick County Food Bank will hold a distribution from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Stuart and Ararat, and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Stuart and Meadows of Dan.

 

The Reynolds Homestead will host its annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Engagement Center in Critz. Vendors are welcome to apply online at https://bit.ly/ReynoldsCraftFair.com, and physical application forms are also available at the Creative Arts Center (Patrick County Chamber of Commerce) or at the Reynolds Homestead. Booth space is $25 and vendors with handcraft items, original artwork, baked goods, etc. are encouraged to be a part of the festival. Wednesday, Dec. 15

The Patrick County Food Bank will hold a distribution from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in Stuart and Ararat, and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Stuart and Meadows of Dan.

Story Time with Ms. Gayle is held on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Patrick County Library in Stuart. The events include books, songs, finger plays, and more. For more information, call the library at (276) 694-3352.

Meadows of Dan Community Center, 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 26:

Woolwine Elementary School, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Woolwine – Appletree Development Center, 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Woolwine – Rose Window 40 Charity, 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Charity- Charity Primitive Baptist Church, 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 27:

Ararat Fellowship Church, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
