Mrs. Belle Belcher Hall

Mrs. Belle Belcher Hall, age 84 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Laurel Meadows Nursing Home.  She was born in Patrick County on October 25, 1936, to the late Wesley Belcher and Martha Wood Belcher.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buron J. Hall; and one brother, Allen Belcher. She thoroughly enjoyed watching sports year-round with her favorites being the Atlanta Braves and Duke Basketball.  She also loved to read and do word puzzles but no matter what she was doing her sweet dog Jack was always there by her side.

Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Lou Hall of Meadows of Dan, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and O’Neil Woods of Bassett, VA; six grandchildren; April Hall of Kenai, AK,  Brandon Woods of Phoenix, AZ, Kristin Woods of Chesapeake, VA, Justin Woods of Collinsville, VA, Kaitlyn Crumpton of Dickinson, ND, and BJ Hall of Meadows of Dan, VA, four great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Bertha and Landis Conner of Woolwine; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Belcher,  Clifford and Helen Belcher all of Woolwine, VA, Harless and Jackie Belcher and Edgar and Carolyn Belcher  all of Stuart, VA; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jack.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Marcus Wood officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel Meadows Nursing Home for all the wonderful care that Belle received.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Meadows of Dan Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 830, Meadows of Dan, VA 24120.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
