The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold a food distribution day at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. There will be a morning distribution in Ararat from 8:30-11 a.m., and an evening distribution in Meadows of Dan from 5-6:30 p.m.
The Ararat Ruritan Club will host a barn quilt painting class which will be led by Lisa Martin with The Wormy Chestnut from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Pre-Register is required via email by 03/30/2022 to firstname.lastname@example.org,to ensure your template will be designed and ready for painting. The cost is $30 and includes all supplies needed to complete the barn quilt. The club building is located at 4711 Ararat Highway in Ararat, VA.

The Buffalo Ridge Community Crime Watch meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church. The guest speaker will be Diana Foley speaking about her role as the Community Health worker for Henry County, Martinsville, and Patrick County.

The Stuart Rotary Club will host a Spring Demolition Derby at the amphitheater at Stuart Rotary Field located at 420 Woodland Drive in Stuart. Gates open at 5 p.m. Starting at 6 p.m., there will be a Power Wheel Derby for children ages 3-5 and 6-9. The derby begins at 7 p.m. Ticket prices for ages 5 and under- free, ages 6-18 are $5, ages 19 & older are $10. Funds raised will go toward Stuart Rotary Club’s many community service projects and outreach.

A BBQ fundraiser will be held at the Strawberry Festival in uptown Stuart to raise money for the Mtn. Home Masonic Lodge #263 and its community projects. The cost will be $7 for a combo, or $35 for a whole Boston butt. Call (276) 692-6625 to reserve a whole Boston butt.
The Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Black Pot Chicken Supper from 4-7 p.m. Other items available include baked potatoes, slaw, roll, and a brownie. The event will be drive-thru only with no call-ins.

The Stuart Rotary Club will host a Steak Dinner in the Hooker Building at Stuart Rotary Field located at 420 Woodland Drive in Stuart. Dinner will be served from 4PM to 7PM. Fairy Stone State Park will hold a Corn Squeezins’ There AnitNothin Like AFambly Business event at the Park Amphitheater at 8:30 p.m. The event will teach visitors about moonshine stills, revenuers, raids, and the good ‘ole boys and girls. The Vesta Community Quarter Auction will be held at 149 Community Lane in Vesta.
