Friday, April 30

Bingo Benefit for a new playground and volleyball courts at Dehart Park will be held at Stuart Rotary Building. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25, and include 20 games plus 1 coverall card, 3 bingo cards per game, and cash prizes. Extra coverall cards for the Grand Prize cost $5 each.

 

Monday, May 3

The LifeSpring Center at 218 Patrick Avenue will hold a free one-day seminar, “Natural Strategies to Boost the Immune System” at 6:30 p.m. The seminar will be limited to 12 participants. To register, please call Betty at 276-694-4775.

 

Friday, May 7

Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group will hold a Night Out Spring Bingo event at the large building at Rotary Field. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7 p.m. Bingo packs are $25 and include 20 games and coverall ticket. Bingo prizes will be gift cards from local businesses. Individual snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Due to COVID-19 regulations, seating is first come, first serve, and will be limited to 50 people. Social distancing will be enforced. Hand sanitizers, gloves, and masks will be provided at request.

 

Saturday, May 8

Primland will host a Mother’s Day Silk Scarf Workshop by local artist Sarah Reyburn from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $60 per person and includes all materials. Reservations are required by calling 276-222-3940.

 

Wednesday, May 12

The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce will hold a grant-writing workshop at 12 p.m. The meeting is free on Zoom and registration is required by visiting www.patrickchamber.com, or calling 276-694-6012.

MHC Coalition for Health and Wellness is offering no contact applications assistance for Virginia’s free or low-cost Medicaid plans (Children’s Medicaid/FAMIS, Pregnancy Medicaid, and Adult Health Care for 19-64 years old) for those who meet income requirements. Those who are already enrolled in or are eligible for Medicare are not eligible for this program. Questions can be answered, and applications completed by phone. Call or text Ann Walker at 276-732-0509 to see if you qualify.

Charity- Charity Primitive Baptist Church, 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Robert’s Market/57, 2:35 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.
