The Patrick County Cross County teams were at Salem on Saturday, September 8 for the Knights Crossing XC Invitational. Both the girls and boys teams competed in the 3000 meter run finals and 5000 meter run finals. Chloe Wright, who finished with a 14:41.10 in the 3000 meter run, and Jordan Haas, who finished with a 4:08.00 in the 5000 meter run, led the girls team in their respective events; Moises Cisneros, with a 12:19.20 in the 3000 meter run and Burke Gonzalez with a 18:15.20 in the 5000 meter run, had the best time for the boys team.

“It was a large field with lots of good competition and everyone ran hard. I was proud of how everyone performed and how the pieces are coming together as we move towards the next phase in our season,” said Coach Lynne Deckel. She also had special praise for Gonzalez and Haas for their grit and determination.
