Pictured is the Bear Den of Cub Scout Pack 69 at the Mayo River Rail Trail in Stuart working with Captain Ward Stone with the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Stone demonstrated how to do a shoe impression and assisted the boys in earning their Forensics Elective Award. The scouts learned about forensics and how it is used to help solve crimes. Captain Stone explained about the different jobs available in forensic science. The boys enjoyed the river and had a picnic. They also received additional pins and awards. (Photo by Sandra Heath)
