DeHart Park swimming pool in Stuart will be one of the sites of the 4th of July celebrations for Patrick County Parks and Recreation Department.

The day will start off with a Children’s Parade at 10 a.m. with young and old alike walking around the park and Patrick County Community Center’s parking lots dressed in festive red, white and blue. The line-up will start at 9:30 a.m. with the parade starting at 10.

Immediately after the parade, carnival games with giant inflatables as well as food vendors will begin their operation on the basketball courts and extended parking areas near the tennis courts. There is no charge for participating in the parade or the carnival games.

DeHart pool will also open at 10 a.m. There is a $5 charge for everyone for the day, excluding children three and under. Pool games will run a staggered schedule with the first event starting at 1 p.m. and run until 5 p.m.

See the related story for other activities and events for July 4th in the park.
