obit Pete BowmanEdward “Pete” Bowman, age 75, of Claudville, died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Patrick County on May 28, 1940, and was a son of the late Zack and Vada Pack Bowman. He was also preceded in death by six brothers, R.L., Robie, Woody, Claude, Akers and Lloyd Bowman; and three sisters, Helen DeHart, Lou Massey and Bessie Sutphin.
He loved to fish and play cards.
Surviving are his wife, Lena Mae Inman Bowman of the home; three daughters, Amy Parrish of Stuart, and Cletus Rogers and husband O.M. and Glenda Beasley and husband Bill, all of Dry Pond; three sons, Steve Bowman and wife Patty of Stuart, Jerry Bowman of Claudville, and Donnie Bowman and wife Loretta of Bassett; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors David Heath and Delmas Rorrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cassady family cemetery.
