Mr. Edwin Hyston Stanfield, Jr. age 67 of Meadows of Dan, Virginia passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022.
He was born in Welch, West Virginia on September 23, 1954. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Hyston Stanfield, Sr.; his mother, Dora Lee Sehen Stanfield Strader; and two sisters, Gloria Warr and Robin Grubbs.
Edwin faithfully served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corp and was affectionately called “Hollywood”.
Mr. Stanfield is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Joyce Bowman Litwin; one son, Jonathan Edwin Stanfield (Brittany Furr-Stanfield); two grandchildren, Corbin Odell Stanfield and Lilliana Persephone Stanfield; two step-daughters, Jennifer C. Litwin and Stephanie M. Litwin-Shepherd (Brent); one step-granddaughter, Kathryn O. Shepherd; two siblings, Calvin Stanfield and Penny D. Hubbard; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Stanfield will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Randy Pickett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
