Ella “Louise” Corns Welch, 69, died Tuesday, August 12, 2020, at her home.

Louise will lie in state from 5 pm to 7 pm Friday, August 14, 2020, and 9 am to 11 am Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Colonial Funeral Home.  There will be no formal service.  Social distancing will be observed and face covering is requested.

Born in Patrick County, VA, Louise was a 1969 graduate of Hardin Reynolds High School.  She was employed for the last 16 years with Collins Tractor Company, Inc. (Stuart).  Louise was a member of the Church of the Living God (Stoneville).  She enjoyed crafts especially quilting and basket weaving.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband Robert Odell Welch (2013); parents Randolph Corns and Bessie Anderson Compton Corns; and a brother Kent Leroy Corns.

Survivors include her two sons Robert “Robbie” O. Welch, Jr., of Walnut Cove and Barry W. Welch, of Madison; brother Larry R. Corns (Donna); of Stuart, and sisters Linda C. Corns (Anthony) and Loretta C. Sheppard (Roger), both of Stuart, VA. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
