The former Pioneer Community Hospital of Patrick County’s auxiliary donated a total of $33,245.27 on March 19. The remaining funds in the auxiliary’s account were evenly split between Patrick County Emergency Services and the Caring Hearts Clinic.
Christie Fain, executive director at the clinic, said the funds from the auxiliary will go towards providing laboratory services, prescriptions, and medical tests/supplies to patients in need.
Steven Allen, coordinator of Patrick County Emergency Services, said the donated funds will be spent on EMS training equipment.
