Adult artists in Patrick, Henry, Floyd, Carroll, and Franklin counties in Virginia and Surry and Stokes counties in North Carolina are invited to submit artwork to the Reynolds Homestead’s 42nd Annual JEB Stuart Art Show beginning Sunday, August 20.
The annual event is one of the largest judged art shows in the region, and offers more than $2,000 in prizes and awards in seven categories.
Categories were adjusted to reflect the changing nature of entries over the last five years. This year, entries will be accepted in the following: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Drawing (includes colored pencil, pen and ink, pencil, charcoal and pastels), Photography, 2D Mixed Media and Three Dimensional. In addition, Best-in-Show, Merit, People’s Choice and other sponsored prizes will be awarded.
Artists interested in participating in this year’s show should take note of the dates entries will be accepted at the Reynolds Homestead: Sunday, August 20 from 2 to 5 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, August 22-22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesday, August 23 from noon to 6 p.m.
Cost to enter the show is $25 per artist ($20 for members of Bull Mountain Arts). Each artist may enter two pieces of art in any of the categories.
