Evelyn Louise Richardson Stanley, 91, of Rural Hall, N.C., went to be with Jesus Friday, April 15, 2016, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born February 15, 1925, in Floyd County to the late Henry and Malinda Stanley Richardson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Hassell Stanley; grandson, Michael Todd McGee; brothers, Ephraim and Estien Richardson; and sister, Edna R. Lopez.
Evelyn was a member of Believers Baptist Church. She retired from Winston-Salem Industries of the Blind as their office manager after 37 years of service.
Surviving are her son, Maurice D. Stanley; daughter, Sandra “Sandi” Hall and husband Vance; four grandchildren, Penny and Sam Hyte, Brian and Lisa McGee, Tiffany Stanley and Teresa Stanley; three great-grandchildren, Spencer Hyte, and Bryson and Lanie McGee; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Monday, April 18, 2016, at Believers Baptist Church with Brother Don McGee officiating. Burial was in the Richardson Family Cemetery in Meadows of Dan.
Memorials may be made to Believers Baptist Church, 2001 Old Hollow Rd., Walkertown, NC 27051.
