Farmers Insurance celebrated the opening of its downtown Stuart office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, Oct. 15.
Agent Jennifer Scott said she is excited to take over the business and looks forward to expanding its services.
Scott, who previously worked for State Farm Insurance for 10 years, said she acquired the business earlier this year.
“We just took a minute to get all of my signage up and waited to do a ribbon opening,” she said.
Scott said the office offers a variety of insurance products, including life, auto, home and business coverage, with plans to add Medicare-related services.
“I do all kinds of insurance. I do life, I do auto, home, and business insurance. We’re working on the Medicare thing, not quite in place there yet, but I do pretty much any insurance,” she said.
In addition to Farmers Insurance products, Scott said the office can provide quotes from other insurance carriers, including Liberty Mutual, Travelers and Progressive.
“So if you don’t qualify or the price is too much or whatever with Farmers, we can do other carriers like Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Progressive, those types,” Scott said.
Patrick County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Rebecca Adcock welcomed the addition of another service provider in the community.
“Insurance is always needed, so we’re happy to have an insurance company with Farmers Insurance with Jennifer Scott,” she said.
The office is located at 405 Patrick Ave., Stuart.
