Fishing Team reels in top slots at tournament

The Patrick County High School Fishing Team competed in a two-day tournament at Buggs Island. 

Congratulations to Tripp Thompson and Jacob Spencer they placed second in the Junior Division and qualified for state. 

Kipton Vipperman and Trenton Miller secured “Big Fish” in their first ever competition.

Congratulations to Jake Caine and Devin Walker who placed fourth overall in the south division with 6.31 lbs.  

Caleb Geiger, Cameron Collins, Will Heath, Chace Handy, Evan Havens and Caleb Hostetter also secured a spot in the state championship scheduled for April 2023.

It was a long weekend tournament with 72 boats in Senior Division and 31 boats in Junior Division. Special thanks to boat captains and our community sponsors, and good job by all the anglers.

Evan Havens and Caleb Hostetter qualified for state.

Cameron Collins and Caleb Geiger qualified for state.
