Cross Country Team Finishes on Top

The Patrick County High School (PCHS) Cougar Cross Country Team competed at the 2022 Piedmont District Tournament at the Smith River Sports Complex on October 25. The PC Girls XC were named District Champions, the Boys were Runner-Ups, and Coach Eli Roberson was named Girls XC District Coach of the Year. 

Moi Cisneros was given the award for Boys Runner of the Year. Cisneros finished 1st in the race. Noah Hiatt finished 5th, Ethan Cobbler came in 13th, William Overby was 19th, and Brett Foley finished 25th.  In the girls’ race, Callie Wood was 4th, Irene Smith finished 5th, Mackenzie Williams had a 6th place finish, Elianna Montgomery was 8th, Eden Nickelston was 17th, and Greta Spaeh finished up in 24th place. In the middle school race, Hunter Martin finished 2nd, Fisher Martin was 4th, and Ryder Richardson finished 8th.
