Frank Wayne “Tootie” Price, age 73, of Stuart went to his heavenly home on Monday, February 13, 2017.

He was born on October 5, 1943 in Emporia before moving to Pembroke. He served in the United States Navy for 16 years stationed in  Hawaii where he was honorably discharged as chief boatswain’s mate.

Tootie was a lover of the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and listening to country music. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and had worked in the maintenance department at Radford University.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert B. Price Sr. and Iva Vaught Price; two brothers, Henry Fletcher Price and Russell Price; and two sisters, Edna Price and Healen Price Meadows.Surviving are two brothers, Gilbert B. Price Jr. of Stuart and Gary Ray Morris Price of Dublin; two nephews, one niece; and several great nieces and nephews.A memorial service with military honors was held Saturday in the mausoleum at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.

Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke handled the arrangements. Local arrangements were by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
