Gaither Landern McMillion, age 80, of Galax, died Friday, April 15, 2016, at his home.
He was born April 5, 1936, in Patrick County, and was a son of the late James Lawrence and Nancy Arlene Kemp McMillion. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Steven; three sisters, Goldie, Nina Mae, and Ruth; and by six brothers, Raymond, Harry, Cecil, Ed, Earl and Carlis.
He was a retired electrical lineman and was a member of Fancy Gap United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Lane McMillion of the home; one daughter, Josette Hess of Dover, Pa.; one son, David McMillion of Rougemont, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Monday at the Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
