The following cases were heard and disposed of in Patrick County General District Court during the month of June.

CRIMINAL AND TRAFFIC

June 6

Jamerson Lee Burdette, Spencer, fail to appear as witness, not guilty.

Joshua Adam Duncan, Mount Airy, N.C., shoplift/alter merchandise, guilty, fined $150 with $75 suspended, costs and restitution of $153.88, 30 days with 28 days suspended.

June 20

Shanon H. Bowers, Bassett, expired inspection, guilty, fined $30, costs $10; drive with suspended license, first offense, guilty, fined $100, costs $121, driver’s license suspended six months; safety belt violation, guilty, fined $25; no registration in possession, guilty, fined $10, costs $10.

Gregory A. Lovell, Rocky Mount, reckless driving generally/accident, guilty, fined $250, costs $96.04; 30 days suspended; defective equipment, slick tire, guilty, fined $30, costs $10.

Alicia Stiles, Martinsville, reckless driving, speeding 90/60 mph zone, guilty, fined $300, costs $86, appealed.

Deborah Pendleton Webb, Callaway, charged with reckless driving, fail to maintain control, found guilty of improper driving, fined $75, costs $61, appealed; defective equipment, windshield, dismissed.

Toni Janel West, Patrick Springs, non-compliance with VASAP, dismissed.

Pamela Jeanne Waltzgagne, Pilot Mountain, N.C., sell alcohol to minor, dismissed.

Matthew C. Pagans, Martinsville, bad check, three counts, all dismissed.

Jesse James West, Nathalie, resisting arrest, guilty, fined $150, costs $121, 30 days with 25 days suspended.

Joseph Rafael Wilson, Martinsville, no insurance, guilty, fined $100, costs $25, appealed; DWI, first offense, guilty, fined $650 with $400 suspended, VASAP, costs $351, 12 months suspended, driver’s license suspended 12 months, appealed; reckless driving, operate vehicle with improper brakes, dismissed.

June 22

Jason Odell Billings, Stuart, assault on law enforcement officer, doc. person, certified to grand jury; obstruct justice by threat/force, certified misdemeanor.

June 27

David Eugene Richardson, Bassett, drive while license suspended, first offense, fined $100, costs $121, driver’s license suspended six months; fail to have vehicle inspected, guilty, fined $30, costs $10; fail to register vehicle, guilty, fined $25, costs $10.

Brandon Edward Smith, Madison, N.C., possession of marijuana, first offense, guilty, fined $100, costs $171, driver’s license suspended six months.

Holly Michelle Smith, Stuart, public swearing/intoxication, continued; non-compliance with VASAP, dismissed; drive while license revoked, first offense, continued.

Michael David Knox, Stuart, charged with driving while license suspended, second offense, found guilty of no operator’s license, fined $100, costs $96; dangling object to block view, guilty, fined $30, costs $10.

Darvey Jay Wells, Martinsville, possession of marijuana, first offense, guilty, fined $100, costs $171, driver’s license suspended six months; speeding, 75/55 mph zone, guilty, fined $100, costs $10.

Amanda Gale Abner, Bassett, charged with driving with suspended license, one previous violation, found guilty of no operator’s license, fined $100, costs $86; fail to appear, not guilty; safety belt violation, guilty, fined $25; speeding, 57/45 mph zone, guilty, fined $75, costs $10.

Andrea Daneil Owens, Patrick Springs, drive while license suspended, guilty, fined $100, costs $96, driver’s license suspended three months; fail to appear for trial, guilty, fined $25, costs $146.

Tollie Dean Moore, Stuart, shoplift/alter merchandise, guilty, fined $150, costs $121, 12 months with 11 months 25 days suspended.

Aubrey Adam Gibson, Woolwine, DWI, first offense, guilty, fined $650 with $400 suspended, VASAP, costs $321, 12 months suspended, driver’s license suspended 12 months; reckless endangerment of life/limb/property, dismissed.

Cynthia Marie Hughes, Patrick Springs, false report to summon law enforcement, nolle prossed.

Britt Mayes, Mount Airy, N.C., obtain money by false pretense, two counts, found guilty on both counts, 12 months suspended, costs of $206 on first count; 12 months suspended, costs of $216 on second count.

John Ewell Scott II, Claudville, obtain money by false pretense, nolle prossed; grand larceny, certified to grand jury; firearm: larceny not from person, certified to grand jury.

Crystal Chambers Marion, Mount Airy, N.C., grand larceny: auto theft, certified to grand jury.
