Girl Scout Troop 1302 held its yearly Recognition Ceremony on May 11, at Providence United Methodist Church. The night began with the Pledge and the Girl Scout Promise. Next came a covered dish meal (thanks to parents and leaders for delicious food) enjoyed by all. This was followed by recognition of the girls who sold over 100 boxes of cookies: Hope, Jazzmin, Kaylin, KayCee, Mackenzie, Paisley, Rebecca, Rylan. Taylor also sold 1,000 boxes. Between the girls and the cookie booths, the troop sold almost 5,000 boxes of cookies. Many thanks to all those who supported the girls with buying boxes of cookies or making a donation. The troop money from these sales goes to help with purchasing badges, patches, items for events and savings for their next big trip.
Leaders were recognized for all their hard work of organizing meetings and other events throughout the year. These great ladies are Daisies: Marcia, Pepper; Brownies: Kaitlyn, Amanda; Juniors: Dee, Mary; Cadettes, Seniors: Olivia; County Girl Scout Manager, Cathy.
The girls were then presented with the prizes they earned from nuts/candy sales and all the patches and badges they earned throughout the year. The girls have worked hard throughout the year to do the work and earn many badges and patches.
Many thanks to parents and friends who support the girls in all that they do in Girl Scouts. The group works hard to learn many new things as well as having a good time together.
