How would you like to compete for a $25,000 prize?

The Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department has it covered at their 5th annual golf tournament.

The tourney will be held Saturday, June 10 at the Gordon Trent Golf Club. It begins at 9 a.m. and the cost to participate is $60 per player, according to Mike Hall, an organizer of the event.

Participants will vie for a $25,000 hole in one prize, as well as several others.

Members of the four player teams, Captain’s Choice, will have chances to win special prizes for several hole in one shots, including an Apple entertainment pack on the 5th hole (from yellow tee); a set of Calloway woods and irons on the 9th hole (from the blue tee); and a $750 VISA gift card on the 13th hole (from the blue tee).

The $25,000 hole in one is on the 16th hole, and from the blue tee.

For closest to the pin winners, $100 cash will be awarded at each of the 3rd, 5th, 9th and 13th holes.

Players aged 70 and up, red tees; 60 to 70, yellow tees; white tees for all other players.

Payout will be determined according to the number of players on the day of the event, Hall said.

Cash prizes to select teams will be determined after play.

Everyone can win.

Carded pros must pre-register to be eligible.

A free barbecue dinner will be available to players after 1 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the Moorefield Store Volunteer Fire Department.
