Herbert Lee Cobler, 80, of Ridgeway, died on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
He was born on October 24, 1935 in Henry County and was a son of the late Maude Bullins Cobler and Eldridge Lee Cobler. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Cobler and two grandchildren.
He retired from Pulaski Furniture after 21 years of service as a machine operator. He also attended Ridgeway Church of God.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Gracie T. Cobbler of the residence; one daughter, Marjorie Roberts of Shipman; stepdaughter, Patricia Ann Turner Shelton of Patrick Springs son, Herbert Lee Cobler Jr. of San Diego, Calif.; and stepson, Roger Turner of Ridgeway; brother, Samuel Kenneth Cobler of Patrick County; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Richard Dunn officiating.
The visitation will be from 2. to 3 p.m. on Thursday at Norris Funeral Services.
