Behind a dominant pitching performance on the road, the Patrick County High Cougar baseball left with an 8-0 win against Floyd County on May 6.
Jackson Horton got the start for the Cougars, going three innings allowing just one hit and striking out three. Noah Jessup came on in the fourth and was dominant, striking out nine of the twelve batters he faced, allowing no hits or base on balls.
At the plate Jackson Horton went 3-4 with two RBIs. Calvin Lancaster was 2-4 with two doubles, and an RBI while Gavin Fain was 2-4 with two runs scored.
The win gives the Cougars a 13-3 record over all, and 8-1 in the Three Rivers District.
