Howard I. McCormick, born October 28, 1938, died in comfort on December 31, 2020 in Stuart, Virginia. He was a creative thinker and inventor who loved animals, music, TV news, and traveling throughout the USA.

He is survived by son Lance, daughter Lisa, and sister Susan, and preceded in death by his parents, John and Veronica McCormick, sisters Nancy and Jeanette, and nephew James.

Susan is grateful to the staff of the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart and the Commonwealth Community Trust in Richmond, and for Howard’s compassionate care from his doctors, nurses, aides, and chaplain.

Because of Covid, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Private prayers may be offered for his peaceful ascent into Heaven.

“Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these, it might have been.” (John Greenleaf Whittier).

Arrangements have been entrusted to Moody’s Funeral Services and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
