Mr. Howard Melvin “Bull” Branch, age 84 of Ararat, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on December 16, 1938, to the late William R. and Ada Horton Branch. In addition to his parents, Mr. Branch was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Eugene Branch. He was a good, loving man who would do anything for anyone. He helped out neighbors in his community and never met a stranger.
Mr. Branch is survived by a daughter, Melissa Branch of Ararat; a grandson, Kenley Haynes of Ararat; a step-grandson, Adam Haynes of Claudville; and family friends, Linda King and Elaine Bowman, both of Ararat.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will be private.
