Mr. Jeffrey Lane Kendrick, age 56 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at his home on Monday, June 27, 2022. He was born in Martinsville, Virginia on April 6, 1966, to the late Curtis Kendrick and Pauline Bocock Kendrick. Jeff was a hardworking, truck driver whose CB handle was “Mountain Man.” He enjoyed nature from the beach to the mountains and all creatures great and small and he loved his family deeply. He was a loving husband, devoted father, caring Papa, who found meaningful ways to share life’s lessons and his wisdom in a thoughtful manner.     

Left to cherish the memory of Jeffrey Kendrick are his loving wife of 37 years, Kim Kendrick of the home; three children, Shannon Kendrick of Collinsville, Carrie Kendrick (Tory Betton) of Collinsville, and Adam Kendrick of Stuart; seven beloved  grandchildren, Aidan, Zorian, Nalani, Gideon, Scarlett, Curtis, and Colton; five brothers, Clayton Kendrick (Edith) of Patrick Springs, Chester Kendrick  (Debbie) of Patrick Springs, David Kendrick (Cindy) of Patrick Springs, Freddie Kendrick (Denese) of Woolwine, and Rodney Kendrick (Cindy) of Patrick Springs, and numerous nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service for Jeffrey Kendrick will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Freddie Bonds officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour to the service at the funeral home on Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jeffrey Lane Kendrick Memorial Fund, c/o Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 307, Stuart, VA 24171.
