Jerry Wayne Knight Sr., 63, of Winston-Salem, N.C., died on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, N.C. He was born on September 26, 1955 to the late Katie Elizabeth Lewis and Jesse Lee Knight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Ada May King Knight.
He was of the Pentecostal faith, a very giving person, would do anything in the world for you if he could, and a huge Nascar fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Knight and Virginia Knight of Mount Airy, N.C.; two sons, Jerry Knight Jr. of Graham, N.C. and Tommy Knight of Winston Salem, N.C.; one brother, Barry Knight of Archdale, N.C.; seven grandsons; four granddaughters; three great grandsons and two great granddaughters.
The funeral was held at noon on June 7, 2019 at Norris Funeral Services Chapel in Stuart with the Rev. Richard “Ricky” Carter officiating.
A private burial was held at King family cemetery.
