Jesse Lee “Junior” Fulk Jr., age 88, of Mount Airy, N.C., died Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, N.C.
He was born June 29, 1927, in Patrick County and was a son of the late Jesse Lee Fulk Sr. and Lura Puckett Fulk. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Cook Fulk.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are one daughter, Cathy Marie Fulk of Mooresville, N.C., and one son, Ronnie Lee Fulk of Mount Airy; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Skyline Memory Gardens with services conducted by the Rev. Lee Johnson. Full military rites will be conducted by the Mount Airy VFW Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436.
The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time to go to the cemetery for the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200 Mount Airy, NC. 27030.
