Jeffery Lynn Harold, 63, of Broadway, died Sunday March 20, 2016, at the Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.
He was born April 26, 1952 in Welch, W.Va., and was the son of the late Clarence Elbert Sr. and Erma Cora Shaw Harold. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Harold; and a sister, Mary Harold Carter.
He worked as a sales executive at Capitol Exhibit Services. He graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School in 1971.
Harold was involved in the Jaycees from the late 70s to the early 80s, including serving as president.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Kay Strickler Showman Harold; one stepson; Daric Showman of Timberville; daughters, Jessica Phillips of Broadway, Michelle Swab of Bridgewater, Sarah Harold of Timberville; four grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; mother-in-law, Virginia Strickler, brothers; Clarence Harold Jr. of Florida, Robert Harold of North Carolina, Donald Harold of Missouri, Johnny Harold of Collinsville and Richard Harold of Roanoke; sisters, Martha Pennington of Collinsville and Nancy Wright of Patrick County; one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Kent Bennett will conduct a graveside service 10 a.m. Friday at the Cedar Run Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Broadway. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
