Mr. John Aaron Lankford, age 47 of Claudville, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at his home. He was born in Patrick County on July 27, 1975, to the late John Robert Lankford, Jr., and Cathy Spencer Lankford. Aaron loved lineman work and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Blake Lankford, Jamie Lankford; special friend, Lee Elgin; mother of his children, Peggy Lankford; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina and Ricky Shinault, Shvonda and Trinity Cockram all of Claudville; four nephews, Brycen Cockram and wife, Madison, Dustin Cockram, Colby Shinault, Holden Shinault; one great niece, Avery Cockram; aunts and uncles, Peggy and Carry Wagoner, Pam Errichetti, Margie Shough, Steven and Rita Spencer, Jimmy and Janie Lankford, Ricky Lankford; his “2nd” father, Jimmy Scott; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastors Chad Harrison and Michael Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Christian School, 14 Gammons Rd., Stuart, VA 24171. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
